Reiki is a hands on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
My introduction to Reiki was nice and gradual. I first experienced Reiki with my good friend Or Reitman who is a Reiki II practitioner, dancer, and a pilates instructor. Lots of vivid imagery came up for me during the session and my body felt very relaxed and nourished. I couldn't quite put a word to my experience, but it was definitely something I wanted to continue exploring. After our session he recommended I work with his Reiki master Victoria Tiley.
After a few sessions with Victoria we both came to the conclusion that it was time for me to get attuned to Reiki so I can develop a personal practice and have it quite literally at my hands.
Since my attainment this practice has been giving me an easily accessible tool to sustain my emotional and physical health. I sprained my ankle the day before tech and if it wasn’t for Reiki I would have never been able to fully dance 6 evening length shows that week. It is helping me to center myself on the day to day basis when I feel completely overwhelmed by the city. I am so thankful that I found it, and for the past couple of months I have been offering one on one sessions where I combine reiki with the bodywork practices I have been accumulating for years now.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR SESSION
I advise to stay away from alcohol and other substances for 1-2 days before the session. It is not critical, you would still be able to reap the benefits of the session, but it might lower your body's sensitivity level.
I also advise to have an "agenda". What is the reason you are interested in a session. Could be many things: curiosity, pain, overall well being, stress - all these are valid reasons to try Reiki.
Wear comfortable clothes. Know that there is touch and light movement involved.
I usually start the session with getting to know what brought you here. Following the introduction we will go though a clearing meditation that will ground our practice.
Once we are ready to proceed I would either start with a standard reiki head positions or go directly to the "agenda". Each session is tailored to individual needs, so there is no specific order at which certain things occur. To give an example if your ankle is bothering you I might start there adding some tactile feedback to the foot and calf, maybe some pressure points and/or deep tissue manipulation until we get to the root of the "problem" and find a release. Another example would be a classing Reiki healing session that clears the body head to toes, staying longer at the areas that need a little more love. Regardless, I always end my sessions with the grounding of the feet to bring you back from the meditative state that I am guiding you into during the session.
At the end of the session I would give you something small to focus on that would help you with what you are working on. Bottom line my main goal is help you find a permanent solution, as opposed to a temporary relief.
I always love hearing about your experience. Whether it is minutes, days, or weeks after the session.
Drink plenty of water!
You might feel a little spacy for a day or two, especially after your first session ever. Some muscle soreness might occur as well.
At any point feel free to reach out with any questions or thoughts.

WORDS FROM MY CLIENTS
"Getting Reiki done by Roza was a rejuvenating experience. She knew exactly what my body and mind needed and pulled the tension out of the specific areas that needed release the most. I highly recommend doing Reiki with this artist."
"Roza is highly skilled in body work and alignment. She is intuitive and anatomical in her approach. She describes her methodology as she's working on me, so that as a layman, I'm not left in the dark and continue to feel included in the process. She offers adjustments and alterations so that the work on your body doesn't simply end after the session. She empowers the people that she works with to have ownership and autonomy over whatever it is they're working though, and by identifying and engaging with strengths, she illuminates and rehabilitates weakness."
-Morgan (Dancer, Yoga Instructor, Educator)
"Before I get reiki I was just oh... pain pain... I can't relax...my boby were tough...
When you touched my body I could breath easily and talk to my pain. I felt my muscle still conect. So my mind changed not thinking pain .. like... how I can use other part of boby then how support... something like that...!
Really thinking openand my pain was split!!
thank you for your warm power!!!"
"I feel my full worth after my reiki sessions with Roza"
